The Department of Biology and the Neuroscience Program at Amherst College invite applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in cellular neurophysiology, to begin July 2011. The research program of the successful candidate will be one that can involve undergraduate biology and neuroscience majors. Teaching duties include a laboratory course in neurophysiology, other courses related to the candidate's area, for example a course in general or comparative physiology, and participation in team-taught introductory courses. A completed Ph.D. is required and postdoctoral experience is expected.
