The Neuroscience Program and Psychology Department at Bowdoin College seek applicants for a joint, tenure-track position in behavioral neuroscience beginning Fall 2012. A Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field is required; post-doctoral research and teaching experience are preferred. We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in cognitive or clinical neuroscience. An appointment will be made at the assistant professor level. Teaching responsibilities (4 courses per year) will include a core level contribution to psychology (Data Analysis or Research Design), as well as an upper level laboratory course and an advanced seminar, both in the area of the candidate’s expertise. Additionally, the candidate will develop another course within the curriculum. The successful candidate must possess a strong commitment to undergraduate education and demonstrate the potential to develop a funded, active, and productive research program, which involves undergraduates.
