North Central College invites applications for a tenure track position in psychology with an emphasis in Neuroscience to begin September 1, 2012. The successful candidate will help to initiate and guide our new integrative Neuroscience program.
A Ph.D. is required and appointment at the assistant professor level is anticipated, though higher ranks may be considered for suitably qualified applicants. Applicants should exhibit a potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring, as well as a commitment to scholarship that includes collaborative research with undergraduates. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory and junior level neuroscience courses (with labs), and courses such as General Psychology, Drugs & Behavior, or other courses that match the candidate's expertise. Applicants will have opportunities to contribute to an interdisciplinary general education program.
