Highly motivated applicants are being sought for a Ph.D. student position in the laboratory of Dr. Gina Forster (http://people.usd.edu/~gforster/) to join the graduate program within the Division of Basic Biomedical Sciences (neuroscience specialization), Sanford School of Medicine at The University of South Dakota, to begin in the fall of 2012.  Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, biology, psychology or relevant field, and an interest in the neurobiology and behavioral pharmacology underlying anxiety states related substance abuse.  Relevant research experience is desirable.  The successful applicant will be provided with a competitive graduate student stipend, and will join a dynamic laboratory environment in the modern research facilities within the new Lee Medical Building, Vermillion, SD.  Interested applicants should contact Dr. Forster (gforster@usd.edu) for further details regarding the application process.
