The Department of Biology at Bates College seeks a neurobiologist to fill a one year sabbatical replacement position beginning in August 2012.
The successful candidate is expected to teach cellular neurobiology with an electrophysiology-based laboratory and other courses in the candidate’s specialty that support the entry and upper-level curricula in Biology and Neuroscience, and to mentor students in senior thesis projects. Ability to teach a course in neuropharmacology, molecular neurobiology or developmental neurobiology is very appealing. Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. degree in Biology, Neuroscience or a related discipline by the beginning of the appointment.
