Recommendation for basic electrophysiology system for teaching

Hi, I've been asked to make an equipment request on a short deadline. We have no electrophysiology equipment. I'd love to get a basic system for doing extracellular (for sure) and intracellular (hopefully) recording in insect visual lobe. I've done a little shopping, looked at the AD Instruments PowerLab stuff, and I think A-M systems may have some affordable options as well. I don't really know how much money we have, I think it's in the $10000 or less range. So the less expensive the better -- though of course, cruddy equipment is no use. If anyone can recommend something I'd be grateful.

EPhys systems

AD instruments is great, and the system that I used throughout graduate school.  I recently priced out a complete system from them for fly NMJs, and it was significantly more than 10k.  If you're looking for a more affordable system, you can do quite a bit with iWorx.  I'm also trying to price out a more affordable system for a mainly undergraduate institution, and I'm finding the iWorx prices a little more accessible.
