Academics for Black Survival and Wellness
Date(s): June 19, 2020 - June 25, 2020
Time: 8:35 PM EST - 8:35 PM EST
As a longtime member of FUN, I am proud to support the members of the executive committee’s recent statement on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion on behalf of the society. I write to share with all my FUN colleagues one upcoming opportunity for non-black academics to work toward “…taking concrete steps to further educate, equip, and heal our community”. You are able to participate in one day or all, synchronous or asynchronous. I hope you’ll join me.
Best to all, stay well and stay safe.

Academics for Black Survival and Wellness is a weeklong personal and professional development training that will begin on Juneteenth, June 19, 2020. In recognition of the toll that anti-Black racism, white supremacy, and racial trauma has on Black people, we are inviting all academics to join with #Academics4BlackLives as we collectively strive to enhance the safety and wellness of Black students, staff, faculty and community members.
