Visiting Assistant Professor: Neurobiology and Animal Physiology

The Department of Biology invites applications for a 2-year visiting faculty position at the assistant professor level, beginning September 2017. Teaching responsibilities for the first year include an intermediate-level neurobiology course with weekly laboratories and an advanced seminar with weekly laboratories in an area of neuroscience. In the second year, teaching responsibilities include an intermediate level course in animal physiology with weekly laboratories, and participation in the department’s team-taught introductory course in organismal and population biology. Funds are available for travel to professional meetings and for summer support of undergraduate research collaborators. Applicants should have a Ph.D., teaching experience, and a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates from diverse backgrounds.
