Graduate Student Position in PTSD Research

There is an open doctoral student position in laboratory of Dr. Gina Forster at the Sanford School of Medicine, University of South Dakota for Fall 2017, to specifically to work on a project that aims to determine biomarkers for the development of PTSD. This will involve learning and conducting neuroimaging (functional MRI) and measurement of inflammatory markers from plasma, while working with our geneticist and psychologist collaborators to draw in the genetic and life history aspects. No experience in these areas is necessary as training and supervision are all parts of the process, however an interest in the topic, willingness to work with human subjects, and good computer skills (for the analysis of brain images) are all necessary.
