Visiting Professor of Neuroscience at Wofford College (SC)
The Department of Psychology at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina is accepting letters of interest for a visiting professor in neuroscience for the upcoming Spring semester (February – May 2018). The position would include teaching a Senior Thesis course (5 students) and either a Biological Psychology lab course or upper level seminar.
In the Senior Thesis course students work as a team on a research project that the faculty member designs. The research should be part of the professor’s research program - high quality work intended for publication in a peer reviewed journal. As part of this course, students work together to write a research paper and each write their own extensive literature review on a related topic. Candidates with expertise using humans in cognitive, affective, or social neuroscience research would be given top consideration. Lab space would be available which would include an EEG/ERP system, wet lab for hormonal assays, as well as behavioral testing space.
