Assistant Professor of Psychology (Human Neuroscience)

Elon University seeks applicants for a continuing track position in Human Neuroscience at the assistant professor level beginning mid-August 2019. Applicants should have completed or expect to complete a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related discipline by August 2019. Area of specialization is open; primary consideration will be given to candidates whose research focuses on human participants. Candidates must show evidence of high-quality teaching at the undergraduate level. The ability to maintain a sustained research agenda that actively incorporates undergraduates into one’s program of research is essential. Elon employs a Teacher-Scholar model of faculty engagement and faculty typically teach six courses per year. Teaching will include behavioral neuroscience, introduction to psychology, research methods, special topics courses relating to one’s area of expertise that serve the psychology department and neuroscience minor, and courses in the Elon Core Curriculum. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of people, and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experiences in their cover letter.
