Hendrix College invites applications for a one-year position as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology with the possibility of extension. The position will begin in August of 2019. Doctorate in Psychology is preferred; ABD will be considered. The successful applicant will have a background in social psychology, neuroscience / brain and behavior, or an applied area of psychology. Teaching responsibilities will include the following courses: Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods with laboratory and/or Statistics, and classes in the candidate’s specialty area. Teaching load will be six courses (three per semester), with laboratories counting as one half of a course. The College seeks to extend its tradition of excellence in teaching and scholarship by attracting faculty who combine mastery of their disciplines with broad intellectual interests and commitment to the aims of a liberal arts college.
