The Department of Psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications to fill our newly created Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies & Lecturer position to begin August 1, 2019. This is a 75% teaching  - 25% administrative non-tenure track appointment. The successful applicant should have a PhD in any area of psychology, a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, and experience and/or training in online course delivery. The specific teaching and administrative duties will be determined based on the specific expertise of the individual hired. 

With over 1,000 majors, the Department is home to one of the largest undergraduate majors at the University.  In addition to the BA in psychology, the department will also house the BS in neuroscience beginning Fall 2019.  The Department also offers PhDs in our APA-accredited Clinical and Counseling psychology programs, as well as MA and PhD degrees in Experimental Psychology (Biological, Cognitive and Developmental Science, and Social). We currently have 32 tenure-line faculty and 4 full-time non-tenure line faculty, as well as several part-time lecturers. All of our faculty highly value excellence in undergraduate education, and many of our faculty and graduate teaching associates have won awards for their teaching at departmental, college, university, and national levels.
