FUN 2020 Summer Virtual Meeting (SVM)
Teaching, Learning, and Mentoring Across Distances
Registration closes 7/29/2020 at 5pm Eastern

The past few months have brought new pedagogical challenges and highlighted long-standing inequities in higher education.  How can we better understand and consider the experiences of our students in our teaching approaches?  How can we deliver our classes in ways that are safe, adaptable to distance learning, and more equitable?  We hope to make progress on these issues by gathering as a neuroscience education community to reflect and share resources.  To that end, the Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience is pleased to announce a summer virtual meeting (SVM) that will convene the FUN membership to listen, think, and work together (afternoon of July 30 through August 1). The conference will focus on three themes:
1) resources for online laboratory exercises
2) teaching tools for online/hybrid/flexible delivery and
3) diversity, equity, and inclusion in our teaching, institutional environments, and organization
Sessions will include short talks with Q&A, moderated discussions, a poster session, and themed socials..
The FUN 2020 virtual conference is free of charge to all members. Registrations close Wednesday, July 29th at 5pm. If you are not a member or not up-to-date on your membership dues, your registration fee ($40) will be applied towards a 1-year single faculty membership.  (Note: If your membership category is pre-faculty, you may complete or update that membership first at a $25 membership fee and then register for the meeting at no charge.)
Links to presentations and events will be available to members after logging into the FUN website.
