Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology/Neuroscience
The WHEATON COLLEGE Department of Psychology seeks a colleague who shares our commitment to liberal arts education in the context of a gender-balanced, culturally diverse curriculum and community. We invite applications for a two-year visiting professor position, beginning in the fall of 2021. Wheaton is a private, coeducational, liberal arts college of 1800 students located within easy commuting distance of Boston and Providence. All candidates should be prepared to teach three courses per semester including Brain, Mind, and Behavior (Introductory Neuroscience), Drugs and Behavior (Introductory Psychopharmacology), Lab in Behavioral Neuroscience (300-level Physiological Psychology course), and one or more of the following: Learning and Memory, Comparative Animal Behavior, and/or an upper division course in their area of specialization. As a visiting professor you will have use of a behavioral neuroscience faculty research laboratory and animal facilities that house small rodents and zebrafish.
