Assistant Professor - Psychology/Behavioral Neuroscience
The Department of Psychology in the College of Science and Engineering at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor in Psychology with a research program in Behavioral Neuroscience. The position will begin in August 2024.
The department is seeking a candidate who will develop a productive research program that will be highly competitive for external funding and provide training opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds. The research specialty is open to all subfields of behavioral neuroscience. Candidates working with animal models are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be prepared to teach neuroscience-related and core courses at graduate and undergraduate levels.
Tenure and promotion requirements include evidence of a strong independent research program, excellence in teaching and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, and service activities at the departmental, university, and discipline levels.
