Assistant Professor of Neuroscience

JOB SUMMARY:
Ramapo College of New Jersey invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Neuroscience. Any area of neuroscience will be considered, however those candidates with expertise in 1) Cognitive Neuroscience (e.g. Learning and Memory and Attentional Processing), 2) Affective Neuroscience or 3) Computational Neuroscience are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in neuroscience or psychology or a related field. The appointment will begin September 1, 2024.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· The position requires excellence in teaching and advising, professional and scholarly achievements, and a commitment to service to the institution and community.
· The successful candidate will be expected to teach (6) courses per academic year across the Neuroscience and Psychology curriculum with an interest in teaching Introduction to Neuroscience, Research Methods, Statistics, Cognitive Neuroscience, Behavioral Neuroscience, Neuropsychopharmacology, Neuroscience Capstone and courses in the applicant’s area of expertise.
