Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience

The Department of Psychology at St. Mary’s College of Maryland is accepting applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience, beginning August 2024, contingent upon available funding. The position term is one year. Teaching responsibilities will include lower-level and upper-level topics courses in biological psychology and neuroscience (course topics can be based on the candidate’s area of expertise), and neuroscience lab. The course load is three courses per semester.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a doctoral level degree preferably in Psychology, Neuroscience or a related field, (ABD acceptable at the time of application), and be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Applicants with expertise in biological psychology and neuroscience are strongly encouraged to apply. A commitment to culturally competent teaching/mentoring and fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments is essential.
