Assistant Professor of Neuroscience (tenure-track)
King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Neuroscience beginning August 1, 2024. Housed in the Psychology Department, the Neuroscience program offers a Neuroscience B.S. degree, minor, and supports pre-medical programs.
We are looking for candidates who will provide excellence in teaching undergraduate courses and meaningfully incorporate undergraduate students in course-based research. Teaching responsibilities include Neuroscience introduction, Drugs & Behavior, Research Methods, Senior Research Capstone, Neuropathology or Clinical Neuro Assessment, and elective courses. The teaching load for this position is 24 credits per 9-month academic year (4-4). Faculty are also expected to engage in service, scholarship, and professional development. The successful candidate will establish and maintain a research program involving undergraduate students, with support from the College and department, including internal funding opportunities and conference travel. Current infrastructure supports rodent work, but human researchers are also encouraged to apply.
