Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology
The
Department of Psychology at Saint Anselm College, a Roman Catholic undergraduate liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition in Manchester, NH invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor faculty position to begin August 2025. The department is interested in candidates with an expertise in either clinical neuroscience or social affective neuroscience to help support the interdisciplinary Behavioral Neuroscience major as well as the Psychology major. The successful candidate will teach courses in their area of expertise, as well undergraduate courses such as General Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, Abnormal Psychology, Clinical Neuroscience and Psychopharmacology. Successful candidates will be committed to teaching and actively involving undergraduates in research.
The Psychology Department collaborates with several other Departments on campus to support other curriculum (i.e., Health Sciences, Nursing, Community and Public Health, and Education). The department, consisting of eight full-time faculty members, has a strong tradition of excellence in teaching and research and is housed in a unified science building including laboratory spaces for human psychophysiology, observation, and rodent models.
Tenure-track faculty in the Psychology department teach a 3-3 semester course load and are expected to actively engage undergraduate students in their research, maintain a strong research program, advise students, and participate in the department and college community through service.
