Position Information

The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience of Boston College invites applications for a full-time Visiting Lecturer position in Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience to begin July 1, 2026.

Outstanding candidates for this position will have experience and interest in undergraduate instruction in cognitive psychology, systems neuroscience, translational psychiatry, or computational neuroscience. Applicants will be evaluated on their potential to design and implement undergraduate courses from the introductory to advanced undergraduate levels. Lecturers teach five courses per year. Visiting Lecturer contracts are for one year.

The expected 9-month base salary range (paid over 12 months) for this position is $85,000-92,500. The actual pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, candidate qualifications and prior experience, scope of responsibilities, internal equity, and market considerations.
