Tenure track faculty in Psychology at Morehead State
The Department of Psychology at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor. Applicants must have a specialization in any area of Behavioral Neuroscience and have a firm commitment to teaching, scholarship, and mentoring students. The anticipated start date is August 2020.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate is expected to teach courses in Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychology, conduct scholarly research involving students, and participate in department and university service. The teaching load is 3 to 4 courses per semester. Teaching excellence and scholarly activity leading to publication in peer-reviewed academic journals are expected.
Requirements: Applicants must have a Ph.D. or anticipate receiving a Ph.D. by August 2020. Applicants must also be qualified to teach introductory courses in the Neuroscience and Psychology programs, one higher-level core course in each program, and specialized Neuroscience and/or Psychology courses in the individual’s area of expertise. Postdoctoral research experience or teaching experience in higher education is preferred, but not necessary.
