Assistant Professor in Neuroscience
The Neuroscience Program at Lafayette College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning the 2021-2022 academic year. We seek applicants with expertise in Neuroscience with priority given to candidates who use computational tools in their research to address questions in computational neuroscience, cognition, or another area of expertise. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a relevant field, experience teaching undergraduates, and a strong record of scholarship. A candidate must be able to teach some courses within the core curriculum of the Neuroscience major, which includes Introduction to Neuroscience, Neurobiology, Physiological Psychology, and Advanced Neuroscience, as well as a course in their area of expertise. The teaching load is 2/2 in the first year, and 3/2 thereafter. All faculty members are expected to involve undergraduates in research and to mentor them in independent scholarship.
